On 6 Jun 1900, the census shows Warren W. (37) and Minnie O. (32) LOW living in Kinmundy, Marion County, Illinois. Warren was born Nov 1862, Illinois. His father was said to have been born in Illinois and his mother in Alabama. Minnie was born Nov 1867, Illinois. Her father was said to have been born in Ohio and her mother in Illinois.       On 2 Jan 1920, the census shows W. W. (57) and Minnie O. (52) LOWE living in Kinmundy, Marion County, Illinois. He was said to have been born in Illinois, his father Tennessee and his mother Alabama. She was said to have been born in Illinois, her father in Ohio and her mother in Illinois. Warren was a retail merchant. He owned his own store. They owned their home free of morgage. With them were their sons: Edward R. age 30; and Gordon M. age 23. Both born in Illinois.

On 16 Mar 1922, the Kinmundy Express has, "The store of W. W. LOWE’s was broken into Monday night and the safe was blown. The blacksmith shop of Frank Green’s was also broken into and some tools were stolen, but they were found in the alley back of LOWE’s store, as it appears they were used to break into that store. Three shots of nitro glycerine were used in blowing open the safe. The burglers got $40 cash, some liberty bonds, and war saving stamps, and $300 in merchandise. The Depot Garage was owned by W. B. VALLOW broken into Tuesday and some tools were taken there also."

Last Wednesday night the garage was held up and the night watchman killed. Mack and Chat left the garage at 10 p.m. emptying the cash register and leaving about $8 in cash. The robbery took place at about 11:30 p.m. The night watchman was found soon afterward stabbed thru the heart. Suspicions lean toward a negro, who has not yet been located."

On 10 Nov 1927, the Kinmundy Express has, "Nov. 1 being the 60th birthday of Mrs. W. W. LOWE, and Nov. 6 being the 65th birthday of Mr. W. W. LOWE, the couple were entertained to dinner by Mr. and Mrs. E. R. LOWE. Those also present were Mr. and Mrs. G. M. LOWE and Mrs. GRACY of Collinsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Webster LOWE and children of this city. As the old saying goes, a woman is as old as she looks and a man is as old as he feels. Now Mrs. LOWE doesn’t look old and Mr. LOWE doesn’t feel old, consequently they are classed as a young couple."

LOWE, and Miss Minnie HEADLEY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David HEADLEY, were married in Salem on May 7, 1885. Immediately after the ceremony, they partook of a noon day repast in the East Main Hotel. The bride and groom were both born in the North Fork neighborhood, attending the North Fork School together, and it was in this neighborhood that they settled on a farm. They remained on this farm until 1899 when they moved, with their family, of 4 boys to Kinmundy where Mr. LOWE entered the mercantile business one year later. On Tuesday, this couple observed their 50th anniversary in a very quiet manner. They did not let the fact be known until afterwards and therefore, had but a very few callers. They would have celebrated the occasion but Mrs. LOWE is not in the best of health, and Mr. LOWE has been almost sick with a cold. Mr. and Mrs. LOWE have lived their entire life in this community and we don’t know of a sweeter old couple anywhere, although uncle Warren says he is not old yet. "
