(RA-12) Log home of Andrew Jackson Williams and Lillie Mae Belle (McWhirter) Williams which sat outside of Alma, IL.
"Pictured are A. J. (Andrew Jackson) Williams (son of Ransom Green Williams and Sarah Elizabeth Williams), wife Lillie Mae Belle (McWhirter) Williams (daughter of Charles Pitts McWhirter and Rebecca Hammer McWhirter), and their four oldest children: Roy Jackson Williams (born 21 Nov 1887; married Rosa E. Boring), Theodore "Pidd" Williams (born 7 Dec 1889; married Elizabeth Maria Gertner), Rose Williams (born 1891; married Ira Younger "Peck" Caldwell), and Carrie Belle Williams (born April 22, 1894, in bonnet; married Rufus Jennings Stephens). I was told the man to the right was a traveling preacher." (Information and Photo was provided by descendant, Anita Quick.)

Mary (Winks) Weeks home - early 1980s
This home was owned by the Winks family for many years.
Howard & Rosa (Ross) Winks lived in this home for many years,
and their daughter, Mary (Winks) Weeks and her husband Lloyd Winks lived here as well.
November 2016 - former Winks / Weeks home in Alma

Home of John Mazanek & Anna (Doudera) Mazanek in about 1905 located between the Methodist Church and downtown Alma. It was next to John Mazanek's store too.
This was the northwest corner of 6th and Illinois street, and the view was from the east side of the residence.

The old Mazanek home soon after the last Mazanek occupant, Anna (Mazanek) Arnold moved to Senior Citizen housing just down the street.

This was the home of Joe & Nellie (See) Mazanek for awhile, and Gertrude (Mazanek) Braden Fitch (b. 1919) lived until she was 1 year old.
Later this was known as Miss Lulu (Foster) Owen's house.

The first owner of this house was George Wakefield. He is pictured in front of his home in 1908 with neighbor, Mary (Winks) Weeks, who was 6 years old.

Home of George & Helen (Tomlinson) Pilkington. It was across the street from the WWII Veterans sign facing Rt. 37.

There was a bad fire in her house on Sept. 25, 1980, and she was badly burned, and died soon after.

Helen (Tomlinson) Pilkington's house before demolition

This was first the home of Edwin & Sarah (Shepard) Ford after they moved from the Farina area to Alma around 1900.
Then for many years after that, it was the home of John & Lelia (Gardner) Ford. It was located not far from the Alma city limits east of Alma.
(In the late 1950's, it was torn town, and John W Ford built a new brick home on this place.)

This was the home built by John & Lelia (Gardner) Ford in the late 1950's in the town of Alma,
on the lot where Mazanek's store was located for many years.

"The Kinmundy Express" - Sept. 5, 1996 - Tony & Cora Antonacci home
"This homestead located south of Alma was purchased in 1907 by Ira and Cora Humes. Mr. Humes raised peaches and sold them on the curve, south of the farm. In 1974, his granddaughter and husband purchased the farm, at that time the original homestead was gone. Moving to the area in 1978, the Antonacci's built a log home on the premises in 1981 and took up residency in 1981 and took up residency in December 1982."
