Kinmundy-Alma Girl Scouts

September 16, 1982 the Kinmundy-Alma Girl Scout Troop #358 was organized with 11 girls:  Dawn Casey, Lynn Casey, Catherine Miller, Elizabeth Miller, Elizabeth Trader, Cory Turner, Truda White, Delyn White, Sarah Yates, Tracy Behnke and Alicia Wells.  Our adult helpers for the troop were Judy Trader as Leader, Holly Miller as Asst. Leader, Kathleen White as Cookie Chairman, and Donna Casey and Marilyn Behnke as helpers.

Through the years the troop members have changed, but the fun of shared learning, community projects, camping, hiking, swimming, ice skating, canoeing, outdoor cooking, first aid classes, environmental awareness, and self expression have continued.  The friendships and skills developed during those years in scouting go with us as fond memories of our youth.

Over the years several of the girls were able to achieve the Gold Award which is the highest award given in Girl Scouts.  Travel to Mexico and Europe was possible through a council program.  A college credit environmental class in Stevens Point, WI was provided to one of our local girls.

Girl Scouts has helped bridge our young girls into their adult lives by providing knowledge and happy times with friends.
