"The Kinmundy Express" - May 26, 1955 -

      "Jolly Girls Meet with Mrs. Gray:  The Jolly Girls met May 12 at the home of Mrs. Harry Gray, Jr., and assisted her with the mending.  Bingo was played for entertainment  with prizes going to Mrs. George KEEN, Mrs. Paul WAGONER, Mrs. Melvin GEILER, Mrs. Ray OLDEN and Mrs. Marjorie CORRELL.  Prizes were furnished by Mrs. Kenneth WILKINSON and Mrs. CORRELL.  Refreshments of cake, coffee and orange drink were served by Mrs. Vernon ALLEN and Mrs. KEEN.

      Thursday May 19 the club had their annual close of the season meeting with a chicken dinner at the Chicken House south of Salem.  All members were present except Mrs. Ginger LEMAY who was unable to attend because of illness.  After lunch, the group enjoyed window shopping in Mt. Vernon.

      It has been decided to have one meeting in the City Park during the summer."
