The information above was provided by Ruth (Alexander) Hart in 1989.
She corresponded with her nephew, Jeff Alexander (son
of Don & Nancy (Graves) Alexander.)
From Jeff Alexander, here is
an explanation of who these folks are:
"Ma A" and "Pa A" - Pearl Jackson
Alexander and Fred G Alexander-- are seated in the center.
"Ma A" was a Jackson and her
folks are pictured --Martha Ann "Mattie" Matthews Jackson, her mom.
--James Henry Jackson, her dad
"Ma A"s brothers- Andrew
Jackson
Their children present in this
photo are listed. Uncle Orin Jackson was a cattle ranch man and had a meat
processing plant in Plainview, Tx.
Uncle Andrew and Uncle Emery. Emery lived in Kinmundy, not sure about
Uncle Andrew, Kinmundy or Centralia.
My grandfather Fred D
Alexander was known as "Darrell" to the Illinois Alexanders, his middle
name. Ruth McMillen Alexander, from Logansport, IN is his second wife and my
grandmother.
A lot of the Matthews
relatives lived between Salem and Centralia, IL. Some are buried in the
cemetery there. If anyone is interested, all three surnames and their
ancestors can be found on the LDS Temple website " Family Search " in Salt
Lake.
My dad and Uncle Bob are in
