"The Kinmundy Express" - Oct. 25, 1923
"Dr. C.H. DIEHL, District Health Superintendent of Effingham, will deliver an address at the Camp Ground Church, southeast of town, Sunday morning. Dinner will be served on the grounds and another address will be given at 2:30. He will also deliver an address at the M.E. Church South in this city at 7 o'clock Sunday evening. These programs are given under the supervision of the State Department of Health. Everybody invited.""

"Camp Ground Church: Rev. Clyde BROWN, of Centralia, will conduct preaching services at the Camp Ground Church Sunday evening. Everybody invited to attend these services."
"The Kinmundy Express" - Feb. 27, 1941
"Methodist Home; Lawrenceville, Ill.. Dear Friends: 59 years ago today, 5 folks became members of the Methodist Church, South at the Camp Ground Church - Mr. and Mrs. Scott POWNALL and their daughter, Senna, Prudence KENNEDY and Mary E. SHRIVER. Rev. T.M. PRICKETT was the pastor. The first 3 have passed out of my sight - and the other 2 are hale and hearty and trying to carry on the work that they willingly took up then. Blessings unnumbered have been showered upon them for which they are thankful and the world has received some of the fruit of their lives. Prudence in the loving care given her family and Mary in the loving care given the children of her work in school and Church, have been busy women. Both now are enjoying the loving care of friends and the presence of the Holy Spirit that has been with them during these years. May they continue in the Way until the end of life here. Prudie, if you approve the above sketch just keep on praying that they way will be clear unto the end of life. Lovingly your friend, Mary E. SHRIVER."
