This church was possibly of Pentacost faith for some time, but it was definitely Baptist for several years.  

It was located in Omega township in Section 3. 



“The Kinmundy Express” – March 1923: Mt. Carmel: “Church was well attended at Mt. Carmel Saturday night and Sunday.”


“The Kinmundy Express” – Nov. 8, 1934: Omega: “Rev. Belcher preached at the Oak Park Church Sunday night.”


“The Kinmundy Express” – Oct. 1941: Miletus: “Revival meeting at Mt. Carmel Church.”


“The Kinmundy Express” – Aug. 12, 1943: “A Revival meeting has started at Oak Park Church east of here.”


“The Kinmundy Express” – July 13, 1944: Lawrence Perry and family attended Sunday School at Frog Pond Sunday.


“The Kinmundy Express” – Aug. 3, 1944: Omega: “John Garner of Salem is building a new porch at Mt. Carmel Church east of here.”


“The Kinmundy Express” – July 3, 1952: Omega: “A revival meeting is in progress at Mt. Carmel (Frogpond) church east of here.


“The Kinmundy Express” – July 3, 1952: “The Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Brubaker will hold a revival beginning Monday, July 7, at the Mt. Carmel (Frogpond)  Church near Omega.  Preaching by S.P. Chitwood.  Everyone welcome.


“The Kinmundy Express” –  March 15, 1956: Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church (Frog Pond) Revival meeting.”


“The Kinmundy Express” – May 9, 1957: Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church revival.
